TRANSCO CLSG, Utilities hold TSA Revision Meeting

ABIDJAN, CI, November 13, 2025: A two-day high-level meeting was held in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, bringing together representatives from TRANSCO CLSG’s commercial, financial, and technical departments, as well as experts from the CLSG member utilities and the consultant team. The purpose of the meeting was to revise the existing Transmission Service Agreements (TSAs) between TRANSCO CLSG and the utilities.

This meeting followed an initial session on TSA revision that took place in October 2024 in Abidjan. After that first meeting, a revised draft of the TSAs was distributed to all utilities for their comments and feedback.

During the recent meeting, participants reviewed and discussed the feedback received from the CLSG member utilities. As a result, the final draft of the revised Service Agreement (SA) was adopted, which will now serve as the basis for concluding bilateral TSAs. These agreements are scheduled for onward submission to the utilities, allowing for their consideration and signature by December 31, 2025.

The CLSG transmission line is strategically important for supplying customers and safeguarding the financial viability of TRANSCO CLSG. To uphold this, all traders on the CLSG line—including CI Energies/CIE of Cote d’Ivoire—are required to conclude TSAs with TRANSCO CLSG. The core principle established during the meeting is that TRANSCO CLSG should be adequately compensated for the utilization of its assets.

Mr. Jigba J. Yilla, the Acting General Manager of TRANSCO CLSG, chaired the meeting and welcomed all parties. He expressed gratitude for their attendance and their steadfast commitment to ensuring the company’s financial viability.

He provided background on the TSA revision process and stressed the importance of developing agreements that reflect the interests of all stakeholders, including sellers, buyers, and TRANSCO CLSG. Mr. Yilla encouraged a collaborative and trust-based approach throughout the discussions
