Abidjan, February 8, 2017 – The Management of TRANSCO CLSG is holding a two-day coordination workshop with the Owner’s Engineer (TRACTEBEL Belgium) for the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) across all CLSG countries.

The workshop which convened today at the TRANSCO CLSG headquarters in Abidjan will discuss action plan for  the resettlement of persons affected by the project (PAP), components of the RAP within the CLSG project and the new compensation strategy.

The meeting which concludes tomorrow, Wednesday, February 9, 2017 will also discuss various components including social safeguard issues including the tools for the implementation of the social safeguard policies, environmental management plan, hygiene safety plan, traffic and access road management plan, employment and community relation management plan.
