Abidjan, CI, Tuesday, May 22, 2018: The Task Force set up by the Board of Directors of TRANSCO CLSG has successfully completed a week long working mission to Liberia and Sierra Leone, during which the team held crucial technical discussions with relevant authorities in those countries.
Within the implementation of the CLSG interconnection project, the Board of Directors of the TRANSCO CLSG set up a Task Force with the objective to ensure synergy in the construction of the CLSG line with the development of High Voltage and Medium Voltage networks in the member countries, and with the purpose to enable a much wider access to energy by the population.
The Task Force is composed of a team of experts from CI ENERGIES of Cote d’Ivoire and TRANSCO CLSG and is supported by the Senior Strategic Advisor of TRANSCO CLSG.
The overall objective of the mission was to undertake a review of the status of implementation of sub transmission and distribution network development projects that interface with the CLSG transmission line and to provide support if needed.
The delegation included Amadou Diallo, Senior Strategic Adviser of TRANSCO CLSG, Vanié Bi Tiécoura Michel, Scientific Cooperation Adviser of CI-Energies, Ahamed Diarrassouba, Head of Studies & Distribution of CI-Energies, Yao Syllas M’Bra, Studies/Engineer & Distribution of CI-Energies, Etienne Bailly, Project Director of TRANSCO CLSG and Achi Ambroise Erick-Paterne, Engineering Coordinator of TRANSCO CLSG.
The Task Force visited Sierra Leone from May 15-17, 2018 and Liberia from May 18-19, 2018. The mission was successful as discussions with the relevant authorities were fruitful and action points taken for the next steps that will enhance coordination between TRANSCO CLSG and beneficiary countries to accelerate the implementation of the CLSG project.
