The Management of TRANSCO CLSG has affirmed its commitment to partially commission the CLSG interconnection project in Liberia come December 2019.

As a result, the General Manager is pushing EPC contractors to accelerate the implementation of the CLSG interconnection project and at the same time urging them not to compromise its quality.

A week-long meeting with all the contractors implementing the project in Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, held in Abidjan, critically looked at the challenges in the implementation process and finding solutions to accelerate construction activities.

The General Manager of TRANSCO CLSG, Mohammed M. Sherif challenged the contractors to double up their construction activities and sought their commitment to ensure the project is delivered as per schedule.

The mid-term review of the Acceleration Plan was intended to understand the challenges facing the contractors and finding solutions that will accelerate the project implementation.  “Delay is unacceptable…” the General Manager stressed.

The bilateral meetings were attended by the Director of Project Implementation, Ettienne Baily, Engineering Coordinator, Erick Achi, TRACTEBEL (the owner’s engineer) and Engineers of the project.
