Hundreds of Sierra Leonean students beamed with smiles as their newly built and furnished elementary school was presented by TRANSCO CLSG and EPC Contractors, KALPATARU to the community in Kamasu Koya chiefdom, Kenema on Saturday, June 15, 2019.

“This is part of our corporate social responsibility. We are giving back to society. It is part of our moral obligation to promote free and quality education in Kamasu Koya Chiefdom,” said Eng. Paul Saffa, TRANSCO CLSG Country Manager of Sierra Leone.

For over a decade, pupils in Kamasu have been cramping in a makeshift cane and thatch structure.

As a part of its cooperate social responsibility, KALPATARU, in partnership with TRANSCO CLSG built, furnished and donated a school building to the community.

The ceremony was graced by TRANSCO CLSG, Mr. Arvind – the country manager and senior management and staff of KALPATARU and elders as well as residents of the Kamasu chiefdom.

The program was climax with traditional dances.
