Abidjan, CI, July 31, 2025: The TRANSCO CLSG Board’s Technical Committee has officially commenced its 24th meeting in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The two-day event, which runs from July 31 to August 1, 2025, is chaired by Mr. Thomas Z. Gonkerwon, Deputy Managing Director for Operations at the Liberia Electricity Corporation. Bringing together technical experts from Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea, the meeting serves as a vital platform for regional collaboration and strategic planning in the energy sector. Participants will review progress, address operational challenges, and reinforce the shared commitment to advancing the TRANSCO CLSG interconnection project.
The Technical Committee continues to play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation and sustainability of the CLSG transmission line, which is central to enhancing electricity access and regional integration across West Africa.
The institutional meetings are scheduled to continue on August 11, 2025, with the 19th Board Audit & Good Governance Committee meeting. The 24th Board Finance and Administration Committee meeting is being scheduled. Subsequently, the 39th Board of Directors’ meeting and the 20th Shareholders’ Meeting are expected to take place later in August.
