The Management of TRANSCO CLSG has extended a message of condolence to the government and people of Sierra Leone over the disaster caused by a landslide in the Regent region of the country.
The message was conveyed to the Honorable Minister of Energy of Sierra Leone and Mr. Ing Alhajii TIMBO, Director of TRANSCO CLSG Board of Directors (EDSA), through a letter delivered on Thursday.
“It is with great distress and sadness that we received the news about the worst hit of the devastating mudslide in Sierra Leone during the last weekend, which caused such death toll and missing people in the affected areas of the country,” the letter signed by the General Manager of TRANSCO CLSG, Mohammed M Sherif said.
“On behalf of TRANSCO CLSG, I would like to convey our heartfelt condolences to the Government and the people of Sierra Leone who are undergoing the tragic and traumatic experiences due to the loss of hundreds of lives and the disappearance of numerous people. Please convey our expression of deepest sympathy and solidarity to the grieving families of the victims and all those affected by this calamity.”
TRANSCO CLSG Management recognizes that while “your country and people are undergoing this serious crisis, we pray that they be comforted to overcome the catastrophic impact of this natural disaster and alleviate the sufferings of the affected victims in your country.”
The letter concludes: “We sincerely pray to Almighty God to bestow mercy on all those who are suffering now and grant divine comfort and consolation to the bereaved families at this time of their immense trial and grief.”
