Stakeholders discuss PPAs and TSAs in Abidjan

The Management of TRANSCO CLSG is holding a three-day Commercial Framework meeting in Abidjan for the power purchase agreements (PPA) and Transmission Service Agreements (TSA) with relevant stakeholders to discuss, validate and adopt the revised agreements.

The meetings run from Monday, October 17th to Wednesday, October 19th at the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire, Boulevard Hassan II, 08 BP 01 Abidjan.

TRANSCO CLSG is collaborating with the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy of each country to ensure the successful outcome of the meetings. The conclusion of these agreements is a major condition precedent to the disbursement of funds by donors for the EPC contracts.

The PPA is a contract between two parties – one which generates electricity (which is Cote d’Ivoire) and one purchasing electricity (the CLSG countries). TRANSCO CLSG, as the transmission company, will sign the agreements with respective governments through their utilities.
