TRANSCO CLSG, with the approval of the Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority, wishes to inform the general public that an aerial survey will be conducted on the CLSG transmission line corridor within Sierra Leonean territory from June 19 to June 25, 2025.
This activity will be carried out by Côte d’Ivoire Energies (CIE), responsible for operating and maintaining the CLSG transmission infrastructure.
The objective of the aerial survey is to inspect the health of the 225kV transmission line that runs through the districts of Pujehun, Kenema, Kono, Tonkolili, Bombali, Koinadugu, Kambia, and Karene as part of ongoing preventive and curative maintenance measures.
The survey will be conducted by helicopter flying at a pretty low altitude and will include planned landings at Lungi, Tiloma, and Bumbuna substations for technical coordination and support.
TRANSCO CLSG wishes to reassure the public that this is a routine and professionally managed operation, posing no risk to public safety. All necessary aviation and safety protocols have been strictly observed. There is no cause for panic or fear during the helicopter’s passage over the identified districts.
We kindly request the understanding and cooperation of residents and local authorities to ensure the smooth execution of this important regional infrastructure operation.
