Monrovia, Liberia, April 26, 2018: Hundreds of persons affected by the CLSG interconnection project in Cote d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone and Liberia, have received compensations for the loss of their properties that fall within the transmission and substation corridors.

Meanwhile, TRANSCO CLSG continues the process in Liberia with about 135 persons affected by the CLSG project set to receive their fare compensations for the loss of their properties including farmlands which are within the 62km of Lot # 1 transmission line corridor segment running from Buchanan in Grand Bassa to the Margibi county borderline.

TRANSCO CLSG will continue this compensation activity in the port city of Buchanan beginning Friday, April 27, 2018. The process is being conducted by the TRANSCO CLSG management team headed by its Social Safeguard Specialist, Marie Chantal Niambe.

Following the payment process, TRANSCO CLSG management will turn over the project site to EPC contractor, National Contracting Company (NCC).

More than 150 persons who are affected by the project have been paid compensations since the process was launched in the country on March 5, 2018.
