Monrovia, Liberia, January 10, 2018: Specialized equipment are being shipped to Liberia for the kick-off of construction activities of the CLSG project. Already some of the equipment have been offloaded at the Port of Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
The equipment will be deployed for the construction of Lot 1 transmission line from Yekepa to Buchanan, which is being implemented by the EPC contractor, UTE Elecnor -Eiffage. The equipment, among others include passenger trucks, crane truck, ambulance, caterpillar telehandler, wheel loader, backhoe loader, motor grader, tractor, and excavator.
The Country Manager of TRANSCO CLSG in Liberia, Jerry Taylor, is pleased with the level of progress being made in the implementation of the CLSG project in Liberia. He said the arrival of the equipment at the Port of Buchanan is a significant milestone in the project implementation.
Mr. Taylor lauded the Government of Liberia for its unwavering supports during the handling of the consignment upon arrival at the port.
