Board’s Task Force in Liberia for major meeting

Monrovia, Liberia, Friday, April 19, 2019: The Director of the Project Implementation Unit of TRANSCO CLSG, Etienne Baily, is leading a high-powered delegation of the Board’s Task Force, to Liberia to take stock of the progress of the Rural Electrification project that will be connected to the CLSG transmission line and to ensure timely availability of the Liberia Medium Voltage Network which will receive power from CLSG line.

In the same framework, the Task Force will present the outcome of the pre-feasibility studies done to develop sub connection from the Botota Substation to energize the big town in this area in central Liberia. The mission will also take opportunity of their presence to revisit the commercial framework (Power Purchase Agreement and Transmission Service Agreement (PPA/TSA).

Liberia’s Energy Minister and top management of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) are also part of the discussions.
